As part of their environmental science learning, students conducted a Measuring Air Pollution Activity to observe how air quality differs in various locations.
They prepared simple air pollution collectors using paper coated with petroleum jelly and placed them in three different areas: inside the classroom, near the window, and in the playground. After a few hours, students examined the sheets and compared the amount of dust and particles collected in each location.
The observations helped them understand that air pollution levels vary depending on movement, ventilation, and outdoor exposure. They recorded their findings and discussed simple steps to keep the environment clean.
This hands-on experiment strengthened scientific thinking, observation skills, and environmental awareness, making learning both practical and meaningful
